This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile game The Vigil Files: Case 1 ("Application") for mobile devices that was created by Makario. The Application is an immersive, story-driven detective game that takes place in pseudo-real time.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application's registration process is artificial and used strictly for the purpose of the game's storytelling. No registration information is sent to an external server; all registration information stays on a user's mobile device.

The user may choose to submit game data to the developer for the purposes of improving the gameplay experience. This information includes in-game email and messaging replies, database queries, and numbers dialed. This information is only used to analyze and improve the gameplay experience. No information is ever shared with third parties or anyone other than the developer. No information beyond what the user submits is collected, and all information is anonymized.

Users can choose to opt in or opt out of game data collection in the Application's settings, or by uninstalling the application.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

No. This Application does not collect any location data from your mobile device.

Does the Application collect audio data from the device?

No. This Application does not collect audio data from your mobile device. The "Record Audio" permission is used at some point in the game for vizualisation, but no information is sent to any servers. The user will be prompted for permssion first.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

No third party will ever have access to any information you supply in the game.
